Celebrities have congratulated ace producer Funke Akindele after her latest film, “A Tribe Called Judah” grossed N1 billion in ticket sales.
The movie grossed the N1 billion figure 20 days after its release in cinemas to become the first ever Nollywood movie to achieve the feat.
Taking to her Instagram to react to the milestone, Funke expressed gratitude to God, her fans in Nigeria and Ghana.
She wrote in part, “Thank you LORD!!!; Thank you NIGERIA!!; Thank you GHANA!!”
Many celebrities took to her comment section to rejoice with her on reaching the milestone.
Some lauded her diligence and reaffirmed her legendary status in the Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Others expressed optimism that the movie will do more numbers in the coming days while thanking Funke for her trailblazing efforts of raising the bar in the movie industry.

A Tribe Called Judah, distributed nationwide by Film One, began its theatrical run on December 15, 2023, breaking the previous record theater ticket figures of Sugar Rush and King, with 231,053 admissions and an astounding N1.02 billion in gross earnings.
