The Osun State Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) vehemently condemns the unwarranted decision of ignorance displayed by the new members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Dotun Babayemi under the guise of Atunto Osun. His display is just an attempt to resurrect his dormant political career, it is a regrettable act that lacks substance and relevance.

“Regrettably, the new APC group is attempting to masquerade under the name of Atunto Osun, a move that lacks legitimacy and genuine purpose. Governor Adeleke’s administration in Osun State has been diligently focused on implementing robust developmental plans for the state’s growth and progress.
“The visionary 100 billion naira Infraplan initiated by Governor Adeleke is a testament to his commitment to elevating Osun State to its deserved status. This plan, once completed, will undoubtedly position Osun State on the map of remarkable transformation and development.
ALGON categorically denounces these attempts by Dotun Babayemi and the new APC members to undermine the ongoing efforts and achievements of Governor Adeleke. We call upon the public to remain vigilant against such calculated manoeuvres that seek to derail the progress already set in motion for the betterment of Osun State and its people.
As a body dedicated to supporting genuine progress and development at the grassroots level, ALGON stands in solidarity with Governor Adeleke’s administration and urges all stakeholders to focus on collaborative efforts that truly serve the interests of the people of Osun State.
