Arrested TikToker is fulfilling prophecy — Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has described the arrest of TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as ‘SeaKing,’ as merely a fulfillment of prophecy.

The religious leader therefore called for an immediate release of the TikToker.

Speaking during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service at Redemption City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, Adeboye distanced himself from the arrest, stating that certain individuals, angered by the TikToker’s remarks about him took the action without his involvement.

“I heard that there is someone who lambasted me thoroughly. What is my offence? Because I asked my people to fast for 100 days. I didn’t ask him o. I didn’t even ask anybody who is not a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to fast,” Adeboye said in a sermon that began trending on Saturday.

Expressing disapproval of the arrest, he added, “I was told some people got so angry and went to arrest the fellow. Release him, he’s fulfilling prophecy.”

Meanwhile, rights activist Omoyele Sowore who visited SeaKing in Police custody in Abuja alongside some lawyers, revealed that the arrest was based on a petition filed by one Paul James Adama, allegedly using the name of a Christian association or group “affiliated with FPRO Adejobi Olumuyiwa.”

He claimed that the petition was reportedly submitted on behalf of Adeboye.
