Man arrested for burglary in Osun

The Operative of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested an Ibadan-based man, Sola Ajibade, 37, for burgling into a house at Ode-Omu and stole one 32-inch Plasma TV set.

The suspect who specializes in house burgling and stealing was arrested at Ode-omu, after a complaint was lodged at Irewole area command, the Amotekun operatives swung into action immediately and he was arrested on the spot.

Addressing Journalists in Osogbo on Wednesday, the Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said; “the suspect was arrested at Ode-Omu after burgling a house and stealing a Plasma 32 inch TV, a complaint was lodged at Irewole Area Command on the activities of the suspect and the operatives swung into action immediately and apprehended the culprit.

“During investigation, the suspect confessed to commiting the act and that he is a serial buglar. He said he always dispose stolen items at Mokola, Ibadan.”

He noted that the suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
