The administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has so far exemplified commitment and dedication. After several developmental projects across Osun State in less than a year, he hasn’t relented in his good works. He has continued to disappoint skeptics and pessimists who over the time thought he would renege on his promises. Indeed, his ascension has been triumphant. Little wonder why a large chunk of the opposition decided to pitch their tent with him.
If we can vividly recall, he made sure to state defintely his plans and programmes for the state while campaigning, and one of the cardinal promises he made was to take care of the wellbeing of Osun people, more importantly, active workers and retirees.
On Wednesday, 9th August 2023, Governor Adeleke approved the release of bond certificates worth #2.1billion for the payment of accrued right benefits of another batch of Retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme at the State and Local Government levels.
Despite the fiscal misappropriation carried out by the last administration, the Governor has made sure to put a smile on the faces of our retirees.
Ordinarily, many would cite the constraints as a reason to go back on their words, but to a large extent, this gesture has once again cemented Governor Adeleke as a loving leader who will go through obstacles to put smiles on faces.
Just yesterday, 10th August, 2023, the Governor presented the certificates to the retirees at the Local Government Service Service Commission Hall, Abere.
While speaking at the event, the Governor reassured the citizens of his unadulterated commitment and dedication towards the holistic improvement of the state, maintaining that he will continue to do what is right.
Truly, the imole slogan is a fact, not a facade.
