Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The Secretary to State Government (SSG), Professor Habibat Adubiaro, in a statement Monday morning, said the dissolution affected the commissioners, special advisers and director general.
However, no fewer than six commissioners, two special advisers and three Director Generals who are part of the Executive Council meeting are retained.
The six commissioners are: the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; the Commissioner for Health and Human Services; Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security; Commissioner for Education; Commissioner for Works; Commissioner for Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives.
The Special Adviser, Special Education and Social Inclusion; and Special Adviser Lands, Survey and e-GIS and the Director General Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD); Director General SDGs and Project Monitoring; and Director General Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).
The statement added that the dissolved cabinet members are advised to hand over to the permanent secretary or the most senior civil servant in their respective ministries and MDAs.
“Governor Oyebanji thanks the affected members of the State Executive Council and wishes them success in their future endeavours, ” the SSG said.
