The Senior Special Assistant on Climate Change to Osun Governor, Engr. Maroof Adedapo has emphasised that Osun is taking a frontline seat in the Climate Change drive in Nigeria.
The Governor Adeleke’s Aide stated this on Tuesday in Lagos while delivering his keynote address, at the ongoing 10th Lagos State int’l Climate Change Summit held today at Lagos Intercontinental Hotel.
He said Osun State government is pursuing her Climate Change agenda holistically in line with the international best practices as directed by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
He lauded the political will and commitment of Governor Ademola Adeleke in ensuring that Osun State is at the forefront of the Climate Change adaptivity Agenda in Nigeria. He also acknowledged the leading role that the Lagos State is playing to others in the struggle against this global environmental crisis, nothing that Osun State is next after Lagos State in the Climate change agenda drive.
He concluded by thanking the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, and the Lagos State government for making the conference a reality.
