Osun PDP begins tour of party structures, rallies stakeholders for better, stronger party

The Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Hon Sunday Bisi has enjoined political functionaries in the party to do everything within their reach to represent the party well in their respective constituencies, just as he charged them to remain good ambassadors of the administration of the Governor and leader of the party, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

Hon Sunday Bisi stated this at the interactive tour of party structures in the state, which according to him, was in line with the ideals of the party where people at the grassroots are effectively carried along in the activities of the party and especially that of the PDP administration in the state.

According to a statement issued by Oladele Bamiji HOB, Osun State PDP Media Director on Tuesday, the tour began on Monday in Irewole, Isokan and Ayedaade local governments.

The tour is to afford the state working committee of the party to listen and aggregate opinions of critical stakeholders, with a view to consolidating on successes of the party in recent times and as well address possible grey areas.

The deputy minority leader of the Senate representing Osun West senatorial district, Distinguished Senator Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi led other government functionaries, including local government caretaker committee chairmen in the area to give report of their stewardship in office so far.

They all pledged to remain steadfast in complementing concerted efforts of the state governor in rejigging the state’s economy through people oriented policies and programs.

Hon Sunday Bisi particularly applauded Senator Lere Oyewumi for living true to his reputation as a core grassroot politician by finding time to make the gathering out of his very tight schedules at the national assembly, asking others in the state to emulate him in strengthening the bond between the party and the electorate.

The chairman assured stakeholders of the party to ensure judicious assessments of their views, not just for the good of the party but also that of the good people of Osun State.

The tour continues on Tuesday with visits to Ifedayo, Boluwaduro and Ila local governments.
