Every January 15th is set aside annually to honor the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and it’s tagged: “Armed Forces Remembrance Day.”

At the ceremony, Osun State Governor, Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, delivered a speech, paying tribute to the brave men and women who have lost their lives in service to the nation.
The event on Wednesday featured a wreath-laying ceremony, which was performed by :
- The Executive Governor
- The Honourable Speaker
- The Chief Judge
- The Commandant, Nigerian Air Force
- The Commander, ECC Ede
- The Commandant, Nigerian Navy, Ile-Ife
- The Commissioner of Police
- HRH, Ataoja of Osogbo
- The Chairman, Nigeria Legion
- Representative of Widows
The ceremony culminated in a 21-gun salute, fired in honor of the departed heroes.
