The recent debacle surrounding the false claim by Remi Omowaiye and Ismail Omipidan about the Osogbo-Ikirun-IlaOdo road in Osun state has left a bad taste in the mouths of APC members in the state.
The duo tried to twist the facts and tell lies about the road, but they were quickly called out by the people of Osun state, who questioned their integrity and asked them to bury their heads in shame.It is disheartening to see that some people would rather play politics with developmental projects that are meant to benefit the people.
The lofty construction of the Osogbo-IlaOdo road is a project that was started by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, but unfortunately, he could not complete it during his 8-year tenure. When Governor Oyetola came into office, he couldn’t do any significant work on the project in his his 4-year tenure.
However, in just 3 months, the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke was able to complete a 10.5km dual carriage of the road.
This is a feat that the Oyetola administration could not achieve, and it is something that should be celebrated by all well-meaning individuals in the state.It is, therefore, disappointing to see individuals like Remi Omowaiye and Ismail Omipidan – both top functionaries of the defunct Oyetola Administration – trying to discredit the good work of Governor Adeleke.
These individuals should know better than to play politics with developmental projects that are meant to benefit the people.The people of Osun state have however spoken through the comment sections of the social media posts made by Omowaiye and Omipidan.
They have called them out and even recoined their names to reflect their perceived lack of integrity. Omowaiye was renamed Omowaiyeiro while Omipidan was christened Omiparo. It is clear that the people of Osun state are tired of politicians who put their personal interests above the development of the state.Some of the comments read

It is time for politicians to put aside their differences and work together for the development of the state.
It is also important for individuals like Remi Omowaiye and Ismail Omipidan to refrain from playing politics with developmental projects and focus on self-development
