Richards Arnold steps down as Man Utd’s chief executive

Manchester United on Wednesday confirmed its chief executive, Richard Arnold, “has decided to step down” as part of a management transition.

Man United disclosed this in a tweet via its X account.

“Richard Arnold has decided to step down as Chief Executive of Manchester United after 16 years at the club.”

The change is taking place as the club’s owners finalise the sale of a minority stake to the petrochemicals billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Arnold has held roles at Man United for 16 years.

He is expected to provide transitional support until the end of December.
