Governor Adeleke appoints new Acting CJ for Osun

Governor Ademola Adeleke has appointed Justice Olayinka David Afolabi as the acting Chief Judge of Osun state.

This was contained in a release by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed on Thursday and obtained by SAHEL STANDARD correspodent in Osogbo.

The release stated that the appointment is consequent upon the approval of the Resolution of the House of Assembly asking Justice Ojo to step aside pending the investigation of allegations levelled against her.

It reads, “Governor Ademola Adeleke has appointed Justice Olayinka David Afolabi as the acting Chief Judge of Osun state with immediate effect following the approval of the resolution of the House of Assembly.”

The swearing-in ceremony of the new Acting Chief Judge will be held tomorrow at the Executive Lounge, Governor’s Office, Osogbo.
