Assumed duty as the Managing Director and CEO of the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority on the 1st July 2020.
Prof, a Lagos born qualified Technocrat has from the onset to this period in question demonstrated his unwavering love and support for the success and the development of the Free Zone Scheme.
PROFs knowledge, vast experience and the giant stride taken during this period has been able to reposition the Free Zone to a new and higher level.
PROF is a man that believes in rewards system. His leadership style is BOTTOM UP and all encompassing.
ADESUGBA has etched his name as a successful Managing Director in these three years.
Backed by a supportive Supervising Ministry, Management and staff, the erudite Professor developed a system of constant engagement and feedback to ensure there is a common messaging the agencies goals and objectives.
With a viable administrative and high leadership qualities in place these were some of the achievements made by the Professor Adesoji Adesugba led NEPZA Management.
a. Staff development. improved staff motivation, Training and Capacity building.
b. Establishment of new Units to support new strategies.
c. The introduction of new Tarriff Structure.
d. The Review of a Legal Regulatory Framework.
e. The Resolution of challenges within the Zones.
f. Improved Stakeholders Engagement and Collaboration.
g. The NEPZA Alternative Dispute Resolution Center.
h.. The formation of Nigeria Economic Zone Association.
i . Implementation of a Revised Social media strategy.
j. Ensuring that NEPZA staff upon leaving services retire well. A robust exit package has been put in place for staff.
k. The establishment of the NEPZA TRAINING institute.
During his tenure, the Free Zone Scheme was more than ever deployed in stimulating local production and Infrastructure Development.
Prof. an accomplisef Specialist in Investment Promotion and Economic Development is known for his proficiency in Organizational Development and Institutional reforms. He did combined the best of his private sector entrepreneurial acumen and expertise ability to achieve or succeed all these years.
“I WILL STRICTLY ENFORCE EXTANT RULES AND FINANCIAL REGULATION’S. I WILL NOT TOLERATE BREACHING OF THE PROCESS IN PROCUREMENT AND OTHER FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS. I CHARGED YOU TO ENSURE PROPER RECORDS KEEPING AND BE OBSERVANCE OF THE INTERNAL PROCESS. These were his words upon assumption of duty. What a great man?
