A devastating incident has occurred in Lagos, where a 19-year-old boy, Adeyemi, was allegedly beaten to death by his father, Olumide.
The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the Alagbado Police Division received a report of the alleged crime on Tuesday, July 16.
According to the report, Olumide used a shovel to inflict a deep cut on his son’s right-hand side as a form of punishment for an undisclosed offense.
The young man was rushed to the hospital for treatment but eventually succumbed to his injuries due to tetanus infection.
The police have visited the scene and are currently investigating the case.
However, the father, Olumide, is currently at large.
