The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated a former lawmaker representing Ilesa West/Ilesa East/Atakunmosa East/Atakunmosa West in the House of Representatives, Honourable Olugbenga Onigbogi, on the occasion of his birthday, lauding his sense of purpose and conviction to impact lives.
Gov Ademola Adeleke applauds Hon. Onigbogi for remaining true to the aspirations of the people, making efforts to achieve landmark difference in office and outside it, praising him as a distinguished politician who prioritizes the good of the society.
In a statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed commends the celebrant, who doubles as the Chairman of the Governing Council of University of Ilesa (UNILESA) for the remarkable work done to facilitate the smooth running of the higher institution of learning, acknowledging his long standing contributions to communities in Osun state and beyond has been pivotal in shaping lives and making sure that a lot of people can enjoy the benefits of a working society.
“A hearty wishes to a people-oriented politician as he marks his birthday today. From the time that our paths crossed, Hon. Onigbogi has shown to be exceptional, demonstrating that what matter is the good of the people,” Governor Adeleke noted in a congratulatory message.
“The biggest test of the character of Hon. Onigbogi was in 2022 when he lost his aspiration for the Senate seat and notwithstanding his loss, he did everything to make sure that the maladministration of the APC did not continue. This showed that he is not about personal benefit and I respect him for much for this.
“As the Chairman of the Governing Council of UNILESA, Hon. Onigbogi conveys our administration’s objective of building a higher institution of learning that not only meet the expectations of our people in Ijesa land but a ground for grooming the greatest talents in all spheres of life.
Governor Adeleke prays for God’s continued guidance and strength for Hon. Onigbodogi so that he can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of people through politics and beyond.
