Ogun Police declares Zaazu Crooner, Portable wanted

The Ogun State Police Command has declared Zaazu Crooner, Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, popularly known as “Portable,” wanted for his involvement in a violent attack on government officials while carrying out their lawful duties.

In a statement released on Monday, the Command’s Spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, revealed that Portable attacked officials of the State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa and Tigbo Ilu Ota on February 5, 2025 at 10am.

The attacked officials are namely; TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi.

She revealed that while nine accomplices have been arrested, Portable fled the scene and has since gone into hiding.

CSP Odutola stated that multiple formal invitations were sent to him, requesting his presence at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. However, he deliberately ignored these requests without providing a cause or legal representation.

The statement reads; “The officials encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar in the area. Upon introducing themselves and requesting the approved building plan, his father informed them that his son was unavailable.

“However, shortly thereafter, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a gang of nine thugs in a violent assault on the unarmed officials. The enforcement officers sustained various injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command. The case was subsequently escalated to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further action.

“As a result of his repeated evasion, the Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted. Members of the public are strongly urged to assist the police by providing any information that could lead to his immediate arrest. Anyone found aiding or harbouring the suspect will face legal consequences.

“For any relevant information, please report to the nearest police station or contact the Ogun State Police Command through its official communication channels or the police public relations department.”
