In this light, this write-up is aimed at highlighting the significance of the Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Football Cup Competition, an annual event that showcases not only the love of good people of Ede Federal Constituency for football but also and avenue for younger generation to exhibit their talents in the game of Football. One can not forget the fact it also offers the Good people Ede Federal Constituency golden moment to remember the indelible political legacies of our beloved and revered political Mentor may he continues to rest in peace, Amen 🙏.

The Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke was a prominent Nigerian politician, who served as the first civilian governor of Osun State and as Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria representing good people of Osun West senatorial district in the red chamber before his death in 2017. De-Gov has his popular called during his lifetime was known for his contributions to growth, development and progress of people of his immediate constituency and the state at large. Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke while alive, had a deep-rooted love for football, recognizing it as a potent tool for social cohesion and talent exhibition among the youths of his constituency and the state at large. Therefore, using the annual soccer competition to replicate what he believed in during his lifetime as means of honoring our leader is worthy of commendation.
