Akogun Lere Oyewumi Felicitates Muslims On 1445 Hijrah

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate and the senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun Komorudeen Lere Oyewumi has felicitated with Muslim ummah on the occasion of this year’s Hijrah 1445 which signifies the commencement of the Islamic year.

The Mayegun Adinni Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade federal constituency urged the Muslim faithful in Osun State and Nigeria as a whole to sustain the virtues of Hijrah as preached by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

He called on the Muslim faithful to use the occasion to imbibe and promote the virtues of humility, love, peace, harmony, and mutual co-existence which the prophet exemplified.

He prayed to God Almighty to let the year bring ease and an end to the economic hardship imposed by the skyrocketing increase in fuel pump prices in the nation.

“I wish all the Muslim faithful in the country most especially those from Osun state a Happy New Year in the Islamic calendar, as God has spared our lives witness another year, I implore us to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.

“Hijrah is more than a celebration of a new Islamic calendar, it’s loaded with lessons of love, humility and pain, and mutual co-existence, it’s this expedient for us to remain prayerful for the stability of the economy in our country,

“While wishing you a prosperous and eventful Hijrah year, accept my utmost felicitations with the assurance of responsive and rewarding representation”. He Concluded.
