“I did not give any story to online publisher on Oyetola’s son” – Adeleke’s Spokesperson

●Says he has appointment to meet Investigators to clear his name

The Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Malllam Olawale Rasheed has denied giving any news story to an online publisher regarding the son of the immediate past governor of the state, Femi Oyetola, affirming that he already has appointment with investigators to clear his name.

Reacting to an online report on Tuesday, Mallam Rasheed said he never called any online publisher and never asked any publisher to publish story on the subject.

He also debunked reports that the state Governor, Ademola Adeleke was behind such story and that is why the governor is trying to shield him, stressing that the Governor has already authorised his travelling to Abuja this weekend.

According to him, all his engagement are always conveyed in press statements and that at no point was he involved in planting of such stories.

The Spokesperson noted that he related with several publishers on daily basis and also supported those who seek assistance, adding that it is within his official duties to relate with the media for the projection of his boss.

Mallam Rasheed said his principal had suffered a lot of unfounded attacks from the opposition many of which are outright falsehood and misinformation.

He said the defence for the Governor has always been put out in the media in official statements, noting that at no point has he issued any statements on the said Oyetola’s son.

“I never asked anybody to do any such story. I relate with many publishers but on this case the allegation is false

“I never put any call to any publisher and never asked any publisher to publish a story on the subject.

“I am due to travel to Abuja to meet the investigators to clear my name. My principal is a victim of fake news which he battled on daily basis”,the spokesperson concluded.
