The Osun State Joint Labour Movement has enjoined the entire Labour Unions in the state to participate in the forthcoming local government election to be held on Saturday, Feb 22, 2025.
The Labour leaders in a joint statement signed by Comrade (Dr) Christopher Arapasopo, (NLC Chairman), Comrade ′Bimbo Fasasi, (TUC Chairman) and Comrade Lekan Adediran Chairman, (JNPSN), “hereby encourages all her members to go out and discharge their constitutional and civic responsibility on Saturday, 22nd February, 2025 without fear, mobilize and vote for the candidate of their choice.”
The statement reads;

The fundamental aims and objectives of the Congress is to protect, defend, and promote the rights, well-being and the interests of all workers, pensioners, the trade unions and the working class in general; and also, to promote and defend a Nigerian nation that would be just, democratic, transparent and prosperous.
The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) in line with law establishing it, has scheduled the conduct of election to elect Local Government Chairmen/Vice-chairmen for the 30 Local Government Areas and 332 Councilors for the Registration Areas (Ward) of Osun State holding on Saturday, 22nd February, 2025.
The Osun State Joint Labour Movement hereby encourages all her members to go out and discharge their constitutional and civic responsibility on Saturday, 22nd February, 2025 without fear, mobilize and vote for the candidate of their choice.
Together, let’s promote and defend a Nigerian nation that would be just, democratic, transparent, and prosperous.
