● Accuses Opposition Party of Dropping President’s Name As Cover For Stealing Government Properties.
Osun PDP has told opposition APC to stop their antics of dropping around President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s name in order to escape justice in their uncanny looting of properties belonging to government of Osun State after the party was voted out of the state.
The PDP insisted that Governor Ademola Adeleke would not be blackmailed into allowing willful acts of criminality perpetrated against the people of the state by officials of the immediate past APC administration to go unquestioned.
The party counselled all affected former officials in Mr Gboyega Oyetola’s administration to stop running from shadows of their reckless stealing of peoples common patrimony, by returning all government properties in their custody to the state, instead of pleading with President Tinubu to shield them from the long arm of the law that is about catching up with them.
The PDP in a statement signed by it’s State chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, condemned the claim by the opposition party on behalf of it’s thieving stalwarts, that the said properties were awarded them by the defeated former governor Gboyega Oyetola, describing it as unguarded shame.
The party wondered where the former governor derived the powers to unilaterally sign off state assets to his aides when the same were not procured by his personal funds.
“Panting around over setting up of a government task force to recover the stolen properties, ordinarily should not cause anyone undue migraine. Those who are not guilty of stealing have nothing to fear.
“We call on the APC to stop acting like lazy or prodigal robbers, who cannot survive without parasitic leaning on the commonwealth of others. They should leave the president out of misfortune they brought upon themselves in the state.
” We thank the good people of Osun State for refusing all attempts by the APC to draw them into conversations targeted at covering up overwhelming evidence of official stealing and malfeasance against them.”
The PDP commended governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his uncompromising commitment to the betterment of Osun State, urging him not to be distracted by antics of men of yesterday, wanting to relaunch themselves into impossible reckoning by force of deceptive crookery.
