The Executive Chairman, Osun Internal Revenue Service (OIRS), Prince Adesola Adewumi has asserted that revenue from Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government are the driving force that will make the 5-point developmental agenda of the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke realizable.
Prince Adewumi made this assertion on Friday during a meeting between OIRS management and state revenue healthcare sector, held in the Agency’s Conference Hall, Abere.
The OIRS boss, who spoke through the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tax and Revenue, Alhaji Hamzat Solanke harped on the need for all MDAs to redouble their efforts towards revenue generation.
According to him, “every successful government will always be traced back to its effective and efficient revenue drive”, advancing that the achievement of any government is heavily dependent on it’s financial strength.”
In the same vein, the Chief Medical Director, UniOsun Teaching Hospital, Prof. P. B Olaitan, Representing Hospital Management Board, Dr. Fadokun Ephraim (DMLS), and Assistant Director, TNGI Ministry of Health, Dr. Abiodun Boladale implored all the State revenue stakeholders, in partnership with Osun Internal Revenue Service, to buckle up in their revenue generation drive.
The focus of the meeting were on effective and efficient collection of taxes, fees as well as strategies to adopt in blocking all leakages.
Present at the meeting were representatives from Ministry of Health, Hospital Management Board and the Management of Osun Internal Revenue Service.
