The President of Osun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OSUCCIMA), Dr. Olu Olujide was on a working visit to the Management of Adeleke University, Ede in Osun State.
The President of Business Community in Osun State accompanied by Mr David Awotipe Sub Committee Chair, Osun 2023 Trade Fair and Mr Tunji Ajayi, Acting Director General of the Association was received by the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor of Adeleke University, Professor Solomon Adebola and Professor Luke Onuoha respectively.
The visit informs the Management of Adeleke University of the forthcoming of the 2023 Osun Trade Fair scheduled to hold in November 2023 and the University was invited to exhibit their services at the Fair. The visit equally explores the strategic role of Adeleke University in establishing Ede Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture.
Furthermore, in appreciation of the contribution of the institution to manpower development and scholarship program for indigent but brilliant Osun undergraduates in the university, an Award of Business Excellence was presented to Adeleke University. The President used the opportunity to inform the University of the readiness of OSUCCIMA to working with Academia in Osun State and beyond in achieving a beneficial relationship between the Gown and Town in the State.
In his response, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the institution appreciates the recognition given to the university and was ready to mobilize some of the final year students of the institution to participate at the entrepreneurship program at the Fair . In his own remarks, the vice chancellor of the institution, Prof Solomon Adebola appreciates OSUCCIMA for the award , that the university would be very glad to participate at the Osun trade fair and provide key role in establishing Ede Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture in Ede. He reiterated the commitments of the university academic excellence in teaching, research and community . He uses the medium to call on industrial sector of the economy to partner academia to achieve a rapid economic development in Osun and Nigeria
