Gov. Adeleke’s Aide Empowers Constituents With N10Million Cash Grants, other items

In his proactive effort to address the pressing concerns of citizens regarding inflation and Ramadan season, Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Community Service and Development Projects, Alh Nurudeen Emiloju has empowered members of his constituency through the distribution of 20 refrigerators, grinding machines, motorcycles, food items and cash grant worth N10million.

The empowerment Programme which held inside Iwo City Hall in Iwo local government on Saturday had the presence of Kings, Chairmen, Honourables, Special Advisers, Islamic Clerics, Muslim brethren and members of PDP in Iwo LG.

In his speech, the Governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke who was represented by the Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Bayo Ogungbangbe commended the initiator of the project for his insight and beautiful works through his foundation.

“Emiloju has contributed to our party with initiative.

“Yesterday in our party Secretariat we discussed about empowerment Programme, like cooperative societies. We call it work pays cooperative societies for microfinance bank in each ward.

“Most people haven’t submit their form, that’s the major reason the program hasn’t commence. But before the end of this week, those cooperative societies will receive alert of the money”, he said.

He also advised the beneficiaries not to have the thought of selling whatever it’s given to them.

“In our last distribution Programme at Ilesha, some people made arrangements to sell what was distributed to them, that’s unfair, please do not sell these machines, someone bought this with his sweat money and it’s unfair for us to sell it so cheaply.

“And the money we’re loaning to people, it’s for people to refund so that it can go round. The least each ward will get from the government is 2million naira, some cooperative societies will be given 3 or 4 million. If you cooperate Goverment will be encouraged to increase your money.

“Part of our plan in this community is to also train women on how to drive tricycle and they will pay little by little for the tricycle”, he added.

He also advised all the political appointees to always ensure they go back home and give to the people of their various constituencies.

While speaking with newsmen, the National Vice Chairman of Southwest PDP, Ahlaji Kamoru Ajiasafe, emphasized on benefits of giving, according to him when God is good to you, you should know how to give.

“If you’re wise , you can’t be wiser than God. Sometimes I settle arguments in regards on money dispute and they’ll dash me out of the money, what power or wisdom do I have? But destiny of God.

“It’s good to give, in whatever you have at hand. Because you’re spending does not mean your money will finish, If you calculate the amount this man is distributing you will be surprised.

“May Emiloju live long, May you prosper, you’ll have healthy and peaceful life”, he noted.

The Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Nurudeen Tirimidh while speaking with newsmen explained the aim of the empowerment Programme, noting that it is meant to render help for the people in order to be able start up and maintain their business.

“The empowerment is just to fulfill the dream of our founder, Alhaji Nuurudeen Emiloju in uplifting the less privileged people in our society.

” Students that are aiming to go to higher Institution, the foundation is helping them with school fees. We give people in politics what they deserved and we also fight for the right of these people.

“Amount spent in this distribution Programme is not less than 20 million.” He said

One of the beneficiaries who spoke with Sahel eTV, Mrs Idowu Tajudeen from Gidigbo ward 1, appreciated Alhaji Emiloju for allowing them to enjoy in his tenure.

“I’m grateful for the grace he’s giving us to enjoy from his political tenure. May God bless him and take care of him and his family,” She said.
