In an interview with commissioner for Home Affairs, Honorable Aderibigbe Rasheed, analyzed the benefits the Hajj camp will bring to Osun state, while stating that It is only osun state that doesn’t have a Hajj camp.
“Today governor of Osun state has deem it fit to give us a befitting Hajj camp.
“Alot of benefit will be derived from this, whenever we want to embark on Hajj operations we need to bring all the intending people together and hide them somewhere to stay before transit to Lagos to board the plane.
“As of now in Osun state, we don’t have such. At times we use this mosque which is not the ideal place. We need an ideal place for our intending people to stay before moving to Lagos to embark on their journey to Saudi Arabia. The capacity of the building is 3000”, the Commissioner added.
The President of Osun state Muslim community Alhaji Mustapha Olawuyi, while speaking with our correspondent commended the state Governor for listening to their yearnings among all past Governors
“Since the inception of this state, we’ve been working with the government to ensure we have this facility, but we thank God for the tenure of Ademola Adeleke. It is now a reality.
“It’s not just a fund when you have such program and you’re trying to take over 2000 or 3000 out of this state for a program, and they’ll need somewhere to calm them, to educate them, to make them have sense of belonging, so that when they’re going, they can go en mass together and come back together.
“It’s a very good program that we’ve been processing and fighting for, for a very long time.
“Governor has done well by making it a reality today, we still want to do more by equipping the place after finishing the building.
“Very soon everyone will know the impact of this project, we thank him so much”, he noted.
