In the wake of Hon. Wole Oke’s defection and amidst the temporary challenges caused by the sit-at-home order in some local councils, the Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) in Osun State has reaffirmed its unwavering support for Governor Ademola Adeleke and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement jointly signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Hon.Akanni Tunji David also known as (Agagu) and its Secretary, Chief Akintunde Bello Sheriff (ABS), on behalf of all Senior Special Assistants, the Forum passed a resounding vote of confidence in Governor Adeleke, praising his transformative leadership, particularly his impactful grassroots development initiatives. They also officially endorsed him for a second term in office.
The Forum described the opposition’s struggle to create a narrative of unconstitutionality — citing the purported reinstatement ruse by the legally sacked Yes or No APC elements — as entirely baseless. They emphasized that “light will eventually overcome darkness,” and reaffirmed their belief that Governor Adeleke’s leadership continues to receive genuine global recognition, not a fabricated ruse.
“We want to state clearly that there is only one PDP structure in Osun State, and Governor Ademola Adeleke remains the undisputed leader of our party,” the Forum declared.
They further lauded the Adeleke administration for successfully steering Osun from a predominantly civil service economy to an emerging industrialized state, with visible achievements in education, healthcare, agriculture, road infrastructure, electricity supply, and poverty alleviation.
According to the Forum, these accomplishments are compelling enough to convince the electorate that the PDP remains the party to beat in the forthcoming elections.
Finally, the Forum appealed to all PDP members and supporters across the state to remain calm, law-abiding, and focused, urging everyone to continue working together for the success of the party and the reelection of Governor Ademola Adeleke for a better and greater Osun State.
