The University of Ilesa (UNILESA) has received a brand new 500KVA transformer, courtesy of the Osun State Government.
The university in a statement said the gesture is a significant boost to its infrastructure. According to the statement, the transformer is expected to enhance its power supply, teaching, learning, research, and administrative functions.
“This donation is a testament to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to supporting UNILESA’s growth and development.
“The university has received several supports from the Adeleke-led administration, including, reconstruction of internal road network, regular payment of staff salaries, and release of funds for upgrading facilities.
“The provision of resources for the university to upgrade its facilities and equipment, helped the university to commence operations effectively in 2023 and obtain approval from the NUC to run 67 programmes,” the statement added.
