Governor Adeleke Inaugurates Osun Health Insurance Agency Board Members

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has on Tuesday inaugurated the Governing Board of Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA)

The Governor, who was represented at the event by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi at the swearing in program which held at the Governor’s office welcomed the board and advised them to deliver on their work dutifully.

Adewusi urged the members of the Board to see their appointments as a call to service, stating that the government expect more achievements from the agency.

“When I saw the calibre of people that we have sworn in today as board members, I have confidence that they will do the assignment ahead of them with diligence and I want to encourage not to let us down”, he said.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Rasaq Akindele stated that the purpose of the Board was to make the work of the Agency more effective and deliver on its mandate.

Akindele also listed some of the achievements the Osun Health Insurance Scheme has recorded in the last few months, stating that the constitution of the Board is expected to bring more.

He also implored politicians and well meaning individuals to register people from their constituents in order to have more people in the scheme.

The Chairman of the newly inaugurated Board, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji appreciated the Governor and promised to deliver optimally.

Some of the other board members include: Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji Chairman, Dr Akeem Bello, representative , Office of the head of service, Dr Najeem Akintola , State hospital management board Dr Abayomi Oni, Mrs Yetunde Esan, Min of Home Affairs Alhaji Tajudeen Adelabu, Organized labour comrade Christopher Arapasopo, Office of the state coordinator of National Health Insurance Agency, Mr Oyawoye, Health providers Dr Ebenezer Adepoju, Civil society group, Mr Stephen.

The Executive Secretary is expected to serve as the Secretary to the Board.
