Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been named the new Chair of the Board of Directors for the Climate Action Platform for Africa.

Osinbajo will assist CAP-A with โthe next phase of our growth and our mission of unlocking Africaโs potential as a global hub for climate action,โ the platform said in a statement.
The statement issued by the CAP-A Founder James Mwangi read partly, โWe are deeply honoured to have Prof. Osinbajo join the CAP-A Board of Directors as Chair to assist with the next phase of our growth and our mission of unlocking Africaโs potential as a global hub for climate action.
โHis vast experience and passion for transforming African countriesโ economies in harmony with climatic needs will be invaluable to CAP-Aโs mission, especially coming out of the inaugural Africa Climate Summit that made a strong push for accelerated climate action.โ
Accepting the offer, Osinbajo, in a short statement on his Instagram page Tuesday, wrote, โThrilled to announce my acceptance of the offer to lead CAP-A as the new Chair of the Board of Directors! I am excited to drive climate action across Africa alongside an incredible team. ๐๐ฑโ
