Gaise Baba while speaking said “the industry is scrambling for newness”.
Nigerian gospel artiste, Akinade Ibuoye, also known as Gaise Baba, has said that the music industry is still evolving, adding that it is “struggling for newness”.
Gaise Baba stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief where he spoke about music and entertainment, and shared the inspiring story behind his viral song, ‘No Turning Back’.
He also spoke about his encounter with popular gospel artiste, Nathaniel Bassey.
“It’s a series of seeds, a series of events. That’s a major one but I see what happened that night — that was on November 11 and 12, 2022 — as a public affirmation of dealings I have had in my inner place,” he said.
The singer spoke about his relationship with Nathaniel Bassey saying that “for our path to have aligned at that moment, it’s was not random”.

Speaking about his sound and the depth of his music, he noted that it is not the sound that determines how deep a song is.
“It is not the genre; depth is depth,” he added.
