Ahead of the forth coming elections of the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) the caretaker committee, Osun State chapter, paid a courtesy visit to Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the State, CC Agboola Sunday.
According to the Caretaker Chairman of NYCN in the State, Comrade Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi, the committee has the mandate to usher in a new administration within 60days of its inauguration.
“My appointment as the caretaker Chairman of NYCN in Osun State comes with some major tasks, which includes collaboration with relevant security agencies in the country, inorder to curb crime and criminalities” Comrade Abdulmajeed said
He also appealed for support and cooperation of NSCDC, during their forth coming elections, which would usher in new executive that will paddle the affairs of the Nigeria Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State chapter.
While responding, the NSCDC Commandant in the State, CC Agboola Sunday assured the caretaker committee of his unflinching support, before,during and after the election.
“I am aware that NYCN is the umbrella and apex body of different youth associations in the country, I urge you to re-orientate your fellow youths on the need to do away with any act that could jeopadize the peace of the nation, you need to change the narrative inorder to make the country safe for all and sundry” Commandant Agboola said.
He also enjoined them to shun criminality for them to become better citizens and be committed to the development of the country.
