OSUN: PDP Condemns Attack On Gov. Adeleke, Accuses Former Senator Ajibola Of Plot To Destabilize the State

As the dusts rages on the orchestrated Eid Day attempt on the life of the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has cautioned former Senator Ajibola Basiru to watch his conduct, warning that the party and the good people of Osun State will not take kindly to his plot to destabilize the peace of the state.

Osun PDP in a statement from the office of its Chairman, Honorable Sunday Bisi, Wednesday afternoon urged the police to stand up to the dangerous antics of Ajibola Basiru situation as such attitude is capable of pushing the state into a chaotic edge.

Senator Basiru had earlier on Wednesday, mobilized heavily armed urchins to the Eid praying ground ahead of the arrival of the State Governor, who drove in from Lagos to attend the annual Eid prayers in the state capital in his capacity as the state Governor

The heavily mobilized thugs were later found to have taken over strategic locations at the sacred ground in a bid to launch an assassination attack on the innocent governor, whose sole mission was to worship alongside other Muslim faithful in the state capital to commemorate 2023 Eid-el Kabir.

“Let it be on record for the sake of emphasis that Governor Adeleke took all rigous to make the Eid prayer rites after a previously hectic day in Lagos, without premonition of Basiru’s orchestrated plot to harm the free minded leader of the state “

“However , that the Governor, naturally given to peaceful co-existence inspite of the normal political differences, must not be taken for granted. Any attempt to disrupt prevailing peace in the state will be met with with equal measure of resistance”

The PDP apologized to Muslim Ummah in the srate on behalf of PDP government of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for the unruly and devilish conduct of Ajibola Basiru at the holy ground, assuring that adequate measures will be put in place to forestall such sacrilegious occurrence in the future.

Signed:
Hon Sunday Bisi
Osun State PDP Chairman.
