Nigeria’s celebrated music icon, Onyeka Onwenu, known as the “Elegant Stallion,” has been laid to rest in Lagos.
The funeral service was held at the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.
It would be recalled that Onyeka Onwenu slumped and died on 30th July 2024 after performing at a birthday party.
She died at the age of 72 and is survived by her 2 sons.
The burial was attended by notable Nigerians including Mr. Peter Obi (Labour Party Presidential Candidate) in the 2023 General Election held in Nigeria and the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti amongst others.
