Two kidnap victims rescued in Lagos

The Lagos State Police command and the Joint Task Force have rescued two persons who were kidnapped in the Ijede area of Ikorodu in Lagos State.


A landlord, simply identified as Dare, and one of his neighbours’ daughters, Taiwo, were abducted last Wednesday during an operation.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the rescue of the abducted residents.

Tribune Online gathered that heavily armed men had last Wednesday invaded the house of one of the landlords, Dare and killed his security dog, before taking him away.

Hundeyin in a statement on Sunday said, “With the rigorous and collaborative efforts of both the police, the joint task force, and other security stakeholders, the kidnapped victims were rescued unhurt on 29/02/2025 at about 23:56 rescued unhurt, and handed over to their family members.”
