2023 WWC: Super Falcons qualify for round of 16

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup continued Monday, with Ireland taking on Nigeria at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.

Nigeria did just enough to hold Ireland to a scoreless tie at 0-0, a result that sends Nigeria on to the knockout round. Ireland’s time in the Women’s World Cup comes to a close.

Ireland has been eliminated from advancing to the round of 16, while there’s still a chance for Nigeria to punch its ticket to the knockout round.
