Nigerians must reflect on words of national anthem for peace- Ichita

As Nigeria effects a change in her National Anthem, the Country Director, German Initiative for Knowledge Transfer eV, Hon. Obinna Ichita has urged the government and people of Nigeria to reflect on the wording of the national anthem so as to build a peaceful and prosperous homeland, where no one is oppressed.

The Country Director of the German Initiative for Knowledge Transfer eV who advised Nigerians to take advantage of the Chancenkarte job, which is a new initiative of the Federal Government of Germany to enable skilled and qualified Nigerians to migrate legally to Germany and secure jobs, stated this while congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the successful celebration of his one year anniversary as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ichita noted, “It is my prayer that under his leadership, Nigeria will emerge prime investment destination and an indispensable player in the global field. I commend the security strategies put in place by the President and for his efforts to institutionalize transparency in governance.”

He appealed, “In the spirit of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and in the interest of Justice, I appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and direct the commencement of processes for the release of all agitators including Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and to also initiate a program that will culminate in a national dialogue for genuine reconciliation of differences to foster national unity, economic stability and national security.

“This model is in tune with the President’s 4-D diplomacy and is most likely to yield a predictable outcome as discussions will replace agitations.”

He used the opportunity to also congratulate the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, on the successful celebrations to mark the one year anniversary of his inauguration as Governor of Abia State and prayed that his administration will jumpstart the economic development of Abia and showcase to the world, the entrepreneurial ingenuity of the Abia people, stating, “The infrastructural development of the state under his watch is quite commendable and represents a visible shift towards the path of development.

“On a final note, there is no gain saying that plurality of views is one of the hallmarks of modern democracy. Hence, constructive criticism of public policies should be framed in such a manner that it will serve as a feedback mechanism to the government as it must be devoid of unwarranted personal attacks on leaders,” he said.
