The Director General of the Bisi Kolawole Campaign Organization (BKCO), Otunba Yinka Akerele has urged all members of the People’s Democractic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State to close ranks and work together for the victory of the party in the June 18 governorship election.
Akerele assured that no member of the party will be discriminated against on the account of affiliation to other aspirants before the primary election that produced Hon. Bisi Kolawole as the party’s candidate.
A release on Thursday, by the BKCO Spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, said Akerele spoke in Ado Ekiti, while addressing PDP Ward Managers from Ekiti West, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Efon, Ijero, Ekiti East, Gbonyin, Emure and Ise/Orun Local Governments.
The Director General said those chosen as Ward Managers should see themselves as foot-soldiers of the party.
“I don’t know what our leader, His Excellency Ayo Fayose saw in Bisi Kolawole, but I am convinced that it is a divine call and the same God that remembered Bisi Kolawole and made him our party’s candidate will remember all of us for good.
“I am ready to work myself out because it is when Bisi Kolawole emerges as governor that myself and all of you here can benefit. By the grace of God, we will not be found wanting when he (Kolawole) becomes governor.
“The job we are giving you to do is strategic and you were chosen because of your proven commitment, honesty and dedication to the party, I urge you to carry out this assignment diligently.
“For me, my family and loved ones, we are ready to do everything humanly possible to ensure the emergence of Bisi Kolawole as governor of Ekiti State and God will do it,” Akerele told the Ward Managers.
