Press Statement: Mr Gboyega Oyetola and his gun wielding lieutenants in Osun State have again been advised not to burn down Osun State in the guise of governorship primary election of their party holding this weekend.
The PDP notes with great concern the seeming arms buildups and flooding the state with hoodlums without any iota of second thought for safety of other innocent citizens in the state.
A statement signed by the state Publicity Secretary of the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party Hon Ayodeji Areola calls on security agencies in the state to be on the alert button and activate all professional measures to forestall a complete breakdown of law and order in the state.
In the alternative, security operatives should exercise their professional powers and cause the Apc to move their primaries away from Osun State, preferably to their national headquarters in Abuja, thereby allowing residents of the state to lick the wounds of Apc misrule without fear of another bloodshed reminiscent of blood sucking culture of Apc as a violent political party.
“The good people of Osun State have suffered enough from the horrendous state of economy foisted on the citizens by Apc crass looters and adding wanton destruction of lives and properties would be a compound calamity taken too far”
“For any discerning observer, the palpable tension created in the state as a result of mindless shootings and drums of war by Apc warlords and their surrogates in the last couple of days are pointers to the fact that Apc don’t mind whatever becomes of the people and they must not be allowed to add salt of bloodletting to harrowing injuries already inflicted on the people” A stitch in time saves nine” the PDP warned.
