(AIB)-The community of the Tidjania Muslim Brotherhood (Tariqa Tidjania) of Côte d’Ivoire is organizing prayers for peace in Africa, from February 25 to 27, 2022 in Abidjan.
The event will be preceded by the international symposium on interreligious dialogue, scheduled for February 22-25, 2022 in Abidjan.
On the occasion of the 2nd edition of the “International Wadzifa”, a spiritual gathering scheduled for February 25 to 27, 2022, in Abidjan, prayers for peace in Africa will be organized.
This act of faith is held on the initiative of the Khalife (sovereign) general of the Tariqa Tidjania in Côte d’Ivoire, Cheikh Moustapha Sonta.
The ceremony will bring together luminaries of the Tidjania brotherhood of Africa including the president of the Islamic Community of Tidjania of Burkina Faso (CITBF), Cheikh Sidi Mohamed Maïga and the great Caliphs of Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritania, Sudan , Chad, Guinea Bissau, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Rwanda…
The second edition of the “international Wadzifa” is placed under the spiritual authority of Sidi Mohamed El Kebir Tijani, Caliph representing the Tariqa Tidjani and the family of Cheikh Sidi Ahmed Tijani, Cherif of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The first head of Tidjania in Côte d’Ivoire described the event as a “great meeting of Tidjinia” which will be devoted, for three days, to prayers and blessings for his country, the sub-region and beyond, Africa and the whole world .
Sheikh Moustapha Sonta urged, to do this, the Tidjani to a “strong mobilization” around the event to “show their love to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, to Tidjania and to Sheikh Sidi Ahmed Tidjani”.
Before the holding of the 2nd edition of the “International Wadzifa”, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire will host an international symposium on inter-religious dialogue, from February 23 to 25, 2022.
The meeting will know the participation of several members of the different national sections of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulemas (FM6OA), organizer of the event.
The FM6OA is an institution that works to promote a tolerant Islam and strengthen cooperation between the Oulemans (Muslim scholars) of Morocco and other African countries.
