The President of African Development Bank , Dr Akinwumi Adesina may have commenced consultation as pressure mounts on him to contest the 2023 presidency.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that since his arrival in the country , the issue of presidential race has been cropping up in his interactions with top national leaders.
Adesina was at the Dangote refinery by weekend ,a visit said to have attracted top private sector leaders who also dubbed as critical decision makers on national leadership.
” Adesina is meeting his friends in official capacity but the political question is popping up. He is likely to visit President Muhammadu Buhari , former President Olusegun Obasanjo among others. We are keeping our fingers crossed”, a source at the refinery visit told Sahel Standard.
It was gathered that both the Tinubu and Osinbajo camps are angling to get Adesina on their side.
As at press time, reports showed that Adesina is still undetermined about the presidential option.
