Ila PDP Dismisses Titiloye’s Resignation, Calls Him a “Political Harlot”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ila Local Government, Osun State, has reacted to the resignation of one of its members, Akin Titiloye, describing his exit as insignificant and it carries no weight on the party’s strength or growing influence in the area.

In a statement signed by the Ila PDP Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaitan popularly known as Sweet Mother, noted that the party dismissed Titiloye as a “political lightweight and perpetual opportunist” whose loyalty has always been motivated by personal interests rather than the collective good of the people or the ideals of the PDP.

According to the statement, Titiloye’s political history is marked by inconsistency and instability, as he has repeatedly moved from one political party to another.

“Let it be categorically stated that Akin Titiloye’s exit from the PDP carries no political weight, nor does it pose any threat to the growing influence of Governor Ademola Adeleke and the party in Ila or Osun State at large. Contrary to the exaggerated importance being attached to his departure, the reality is simple: Akin Titiloye is a political lightweight and perpetual opportunist, whose loyalty has always been driven by personal gains rather than commitment to party ideals or the welfare of our people.

“His track record is one of political inconsistency. For years, he has floated from one political platform to another like a political wanderer with no ideological anchor. This latest move is no different from his past antics, and the PDP in Ila is neither surprised nor shaken by his decision.

“The fact remains that the PDP in Ila and across Osun State is stronger than ever. Governor Ademola Adeleke’s visionary leadership, grassroots governance, and unprecedented development strides continue to endear him to the people. No amount of media propaganda or exit of self-serving politicians can diminish that.

“We assure the general public that Ila PDP remains united, focused, and committed to delivering on its promises. The departure of ingrates like Akin Titiloye and Olubiyi Fadeyi both of whom have long lost relevance among their people will not in any way affect the overwhelming support we enjoy today”, the statement concluded.
