Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has directed the state Commissioner of Police to immediately arrest all persons suspected to be involved in the killing of Mr. Ajagungbade Emir.

The killing was reportedly linked to a leadership dispute involving rival groups at one of the state’s motor parks.

Reacting to the incident, Adeleke ordered the immediate vacation of motor parks by the warring groups and directed the reintroduction of the Park Management System across the state.

The governor also directed security agencies to restore normalcy in the affected parks and ensure that law and order are maintained across the state.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke charged the Commissioner of Police to act immediately and ensure that those responsible for the killing are brought to justice.

“Law and order must be maintained. There will be no sacred cows as all culprits will be brought to book,” the governor said.

Adeleke appealed to residents to remain calm, assuring them that the government would take necessary steps to restore peace in the affected parks and other areas.

He said security agencies had been directed to ensure the restoration and sustenance of peace.

The governor further disclosed that he would soon issue an Executive Order to give legal effect to the reintroduction of the Park Management System.

“We are reintroducing the Park Management System. I will soon issue an Executive Order to give effect to the new management system to manage parks and garages across the state,” Adeleke said.

The governor maintained that the new arrangement was aimed at restoring discipline and orderliness in motor parks and garages across Osun State.
