

Ejigbo Monarch Backs Adeleke’s Re-election, Says Community Will Deliver Massive Votes

The Ogiyan of Ejigboland, Oba Omowonunola Oyeyode Oyesosin, has declared his support for the re-election bid of the Accord Party governorship candidate, Governor Ademola Adeleke, assuring him of overwhelming votes from the people of Ejigbo in the August 15 governorship election.
The monarch gave the endorsement on Thursday during the commissioning of three road projects executed by the Adeleke administration in Ejigbo.
According to the traditional ruler, the projects delivered by the state government have addressed critical infrastructural needs in the community, earning the appreciation and support of the people.
“Mr Governor, the projects you have delivered in Ejigbo are those that directly address the needs of our people. We sincerely appreciate your commitment to the development of our town.
“On behalf of the people of Ejigbo, I assure you of our support. Ejigbo sons and daughters will vote massively for your re-election. May Almighty God continue to protect you and grant you victory,” Oba Oyesosin said.
The monarch also offered prayers for the governor’s success at the polls, expressing confidence that he would secure another term in office.
Speaking earlier, the Accord Party candidate for the Ede/Ejigbo/Egbedore Federal Constituency, Hon. Bamidele Salam, thanked the governor for what he described as the numerous developmental projects executed across Ejigbo over the last four years.
Salam, who is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, listed several completed road, health and school rehabilitation projects in the area. He also highlighted newly approved projects, including additional healthcare interventions, which were well received by residents at the event.
In his remarks, Governor Adeleke reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing the Ejigbo-Iwo Road and implementing other recently approved projects aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
“I appreciate Kabiyesi, our royal fathers, chiefs, political leaders and the good people of Ejigbo for your unwavering support. Your confidence in our administration is deeply appreciated, and I will not disappoint you.
“Our government remains committed to ensuring that every part of Osun State benefits from meaningful development. We have completed numerous projects and delivered new ones across critical sectors, and we will continue to serve the people with dedication,” the governor said.
Governor Adeleke was accompanied to the event by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi, Chairperson of the Imole Women Affairs Committee, Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, the Accord Party’s Osun Central Senatorial candidate, Hon. Ganiyu Olaoluwa, as well as members of the State Executive Council.
