The Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone XI Command Osogbo AIG Olanrewaju Yomi Oladimeji, psc. has directed the Commissioners of Police Osun and Oyo Commands to all go after Kidnapers and Cultists that may be hibernating the peace of their respective jurisdiction.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 11 command Osogbo, CSP Ayeni Benjamin, Anipr, which was made available to newsmen on Saturday.
The statement reads:
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone XI Command Osogbo AIG Olanrewaju Yomi Oladimeji, psc. has directed the Commissioners of Police Osun and Oyo Commands as well as all the tactical commanders serving under his jurisdiction to all go after Kidnapers and Cultists that may be hibernating the peace of their respective jurisdiction and they should not treat anyone caught with gloves hand but as a major and serious criminal.
The Zone XI Command Police boss gave this instruction at the maiden security meeting held in his office at Zone XI Command Headquarters Osogbo with the Leadership and Tactical Commanders in both Osun and Oyo States under zone xi. The meeting which was held behind closed doors gives the AIG and the officers the opportunity to map out different types of strategies to protect the lives of both security personnel and citizens as well as all properties within the zone.
Most of the resolutions of the security meeting was considered as issues that needed to be kept secret for security reasons and therefore assured the public that proactive action against crime and criminality will be taken to keep the record that the zone is the most peaceful in the country.
Officers present at AIG Zone XI Command maiden security meeting were Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command CP. Hamzat A. Ayinde, the Deputy Commissioners of Police in the zonal headquarters with Assistant Commissioners of Police in the zone, Police Mobile Force, PMF 4 Ibadan, PMF 39 Osogbo, PMF 72 Ago Are, Special Protection Unit Base 11 Osogbo, Base 22 Ibadan, Counter Terrorist Unit Ibadan Commanders and PPRO ZONE XI Command.
