Supreme Court Verdict: Osun PDP congratulates Governor Adeleke

••• Calls for continued support of Osun people.

The Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has congratulated the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his victory at the supreme court over litigations arising from his election in the July 16 2022 governorship election.

The PDP described the unanimous decision of the the lord justices at the apex court as unassailable precedence in affirming constitutional right of the people to freely determine who leads them at a particular time.

The rulling party asked the Apc and former governor Gboyega Oyetola to apologize to the people Osun State for putting them through unjustifiable stress with the reckless petition.

Five Justices of the supreme court led by Justice Inyang Okoro earlier on Tuesday unanimously dismissed all the four appeals filled at the apex court against the Mach 24 unanimous judgement of the appeal court, affirming the election of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as the duly elected governor of Osun State.

In a statement signed by PDP State Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi shortly after the apex court ruling in Abuja, congratulated the good people of Osun State for what he described as sweet reward for their faith in Senator Ademola as their leader at this time.

The PDP condemned attempts by Mr Gboyega Oyetola, Apc and their cohorts to steal open and legitimate mandate of the people through cooked up and phantom pieces of lies called evidence against popular mandate of the electorate.

“Our great party deeply appreciates the judiciary, especially the supreme court as court of policy, for rebuffing all attempts by the APC and it’s devilish agents to blackmail them into taking wrong and dangerous decisions capable of derailing the entire electoral jurisprudence of Nigeria”

Hon Sunday Bisi further called on the people of Osun State to continue to support Governor Ademola Adeleke in his quest to turn around the fortunes of the state for the good of all, no matter the color,gender or status.
