Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps has nabbed four men for different offences bothering on house burgling, stealing, cultism and motorcycle theft.
The alleged suspects were arrested on Thursday at different locations in the state.
Abeh Abu, 25 and Isaac John, 19, who are native of Plateau state were arrested for house burgling in Ila-Orangun, Osun State.
The duo stole home equipments like a TV set, Mattress, and DVD with the intention to sell it before luck ran out on them.
During the investigation, one of the suspects Abeh Abuh confessed to stealing a motorcycle early this year and sold the stolen motorcycle to one Abah Bello in Ondo State.
Osun Amotekun operatives swung into action immediately in collaboration with Ondo State Amotekun and Bello was apprehended.
It was revealed that Bello is a person of interest in the state, has been on the wanted list of Ondo State Amotekun for a long time and he has been handed over to Ondo State Amotekun for prosecution.
Also, Ajanaku Timileyin, 17, who is a member of the Eiye confraternity was arrested in Ilesa with axe and dane guns. He confessed to stealing of a motorcycle at gun point with other gang members now at large.
Confirming the arrest to the Journalists on Saturday in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspects were arrested at different locations in the state by the operatives.
“Two were arrested after a complaint of house burgling was lodged at the cIla-Orangun office command, the Corps swung into action immediately and apprehended the culprits while trying to sell the stolen items.
“The other suspect was arrested with a axe and dane guns during a routine patrol in Ilesa metropolis for attempting to steal a motorcycle with other gang members now at large. He also confessed to being a member of an Eiye confraternity and that they have been stealing motorcycles in the past.
“Upon investigation, the suspects confessed to committing the act and it’s not their first time of burgling a house, and motorcycle theft”. Adewinmbi said.
He noted that the suspects will be handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
