The Governor made the plea on Wednesday in Osogbo while hosting members of the Ilesa Methodist Church Dioceses, who came on annual intercessory prayer of the Archbishop.

Adeleke, who in his usual habit, praised God with singing and dancing, disclosed that he value every opportunity to be in the presence of God and praising Community, expressed his delight to receive the delegation.

He vowed to continue administering the state with the fear of God, and seek divine intervention on issues, emphasizing that God is the driver of his government.

“I am committed to the delivery of good governance by giving people dividends of democracy. I also charge the Diocese to continue praying for me so as to fulfill my campaign promises.

“Let me also seek your prayers and support for our government, intercede on our behalf, as we will remain God- driven in our strive to serve the people. We are committed to the delivery of good governance and democratic dividends. You have seen our hands across all sectors”, the Governor stated.

Speaking earlier, the Archbishop of the Dioceses, Most Rev. Amos Akindeko appreciated God for giving them the grace to gather together to fulfill God’s mandate which stipulates that the Dioceses should make it a point of duty to be praying for Government in power in the State every year.

The cleric, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Temilola Akindeko and other clerics, revealed that God said He has established the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke in Osun, adding that God is working his purpose in his life. He then advised the Governor to be fair to all and sundry.
