Osun state government has reiterated its commitment to the well-being and sound health of the people.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Water Environmental and Sanitation Agency, RUWESA, Chief Olanrewaju Odelade disclosed this while featuring on Imole Ayo, a sensitization programme devoted to promoting the activities of governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration on OSBC Radio and Television channels
The weekly Yoruba programme is put in place by the office of the Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed to showcase the achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun state
RUWESA according to Chief Odelade, has embarked on series of awareness programmes in towns and villages across Osun state to educate Indigenes and residents on the importance of hand washing healthy living
He advised residents of the state to cultivate the habit of hand washing to minimise hygiene-related diseases.
The Special Adviser disclosed that the agency has engaged the services of some of its experienced retired officers with a view to rebranding RUWESA and make it functional again.
He said the agency was in state of comatose before governor Adeleke came on board
The Special Adviser to the Governor on RUWESA also spoke on the 332 boreholes sunk by the present administration across the state, noting that the boreholes were provided to address the problem of non availability of potable water in different parts of the state
Chief Odelade expressed satisfaction with the five point agenda of governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration,and noted that it is geared towards meeting the needs of the masses and for the overall development of Osun state#####
