I will make Osun conducive for police operations, Governor Adeleke assures new AIG, CP

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has assured the Nigeria Police Force of a conducive environment conducive in order to maintain the prevailing peace and security in the State.

The Governor gave the assurance while hosting the newly posted Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone XI, Mr Patrick Ogon Edung and the Commissioner of Police, Mr Bzigu Dali Kwazhi in his office on Thursday.

He promised that his administration is ever ready to give them maximum support to get rid of criminal acts in the land, emphasizing that he will always attend to their needs on every occasion.

“I am delighted to receive you. My administration is ever ready to give you maximum support to get rid of criminal acts in the land and I will always attend to their needs on every occasion.

“Feel free to meet up with me anytime for discussion on issues of security. Due to the prevailing peace in the State, a lot of investors are already coming, and I wants such to continue so that, Osun can develop to its fullest”, he concluded.

Speaking earlier, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone XI, Mr Patrick Ogon Edung thanked the Governor for receiving them and appreciated him for the current security architecture of the State which, according to him, is reportedly commendable.

The AIG, who was just promoted to the post 3- months ago, assured the Chief Security Officer of the State that he and his team are ready to work with him to maintain the reigning peace in the State.

In his own words, the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Mr Bzigu Dali Kwazhi said he is aware of the management put in place by Governor Adeleke to put succor to the suffering of the masses.

He asserted that he will use his international experience to ensure that residents of the State sleep with their eyes closed, noting that Osun must be rid of all criminal tendencies.
