The Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly, Rep. Bamidele Salam, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as a compassionate leader whose administration has brought significant development to the state.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Salam praised the governor popularly known as “Imole” for what he called purposeful and people-centred governance since assuming office.
He said Adeleke’s leadership style has been defined by inclusiveness, transparency and a genuine commitment to improving the welfare of ordinary citizens across Osun.
The lawmaker highlighted key achievements of the Adeleke administration, including investments in infrastructure, education and healthcare, as well as efforts to address workers’ welfare and pension obligations.
He noted that these interventions have not only improved service delivery but also restored public confidence in governance.
“Your Excellency, your administration has demonstrated that leadership is about service, compassion and accountability. From road construction to the rehabilitation of schools and health facilities, as well as prompt attention to workers’ needs, your impact is visible across the state,” Salam said.
He further commended the governor’s accessibility and empathy, noting that Adeleke has remained close to the grassroots and responsive to the needs of the people.
According to him, this approach has endeared the governor to many residents, who now see government as a partner in progress.
Salam also expressed confidence in Adeleke’s political future, assuring him that the people of Osun would renew his mandate in the August 15 governorship election.
“As you mark this milestone, I join millions of Osun people in celebrating your life and achievements. I have no doubt that the people will once again stand with ‘Imole’, having seen the sincerity of your leadership and the results you have delivered. They entrusted you with their mandate and will reaffirm that trust at the polls,” he added.
The lawmaker wished the governor continued good health, wisdom and strength to sustain his developmental strides, urging him to remain steadfast in his commitment to building a more prosperous Osun State.
